Repair terms

Clear scope and approval help both sides. These terms explain the repair process; they do not remove rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Appointments and assessment

Visits are by appointment at 6 Bentons Way, Mickleham VIC 3064. A standard free drop-off appointment reserves a time to leave a device; it does not promise an immediate assessment, a free repair or a particular completion date.

Describe the symptoms and tell us about relevant damage, previous work, data priorities and accessories. We confirm the device and accessories received. We may need further diagnosis before a reliable repair recommendation is possible.

Quotes, charges and approval

We discuss the proposed scope and cost before you approve paid work or parts. Acknowledging a repair notice, making a booking or leaving a device is not blanket approval of every later repair or expense.

If the scope changes or a further fault is found, we explain the effect and obtain the relevant approval before proceeding with additional paid work. Any priority charge or special arrangement must be agreed separately.

Prices, availability, parts condition and any delivery or assessment charge are confirmed for the individual job. There is no universal parts lead time or repair price promised by this website.

Data, access and the repair notice

Repair may cause data loss. Back up important information where possible and tell us before work begins if preserving data or attempting recovery is the main concern. Backup, transfer and recovery work must be separately discussed; a successful result is not guaranteed.

Read and keep the written Notice of Repairs. We provide the applicable notice before accepting a device for repair. Necessary account or device access is agreed directly. Do not send passwords or payment card details through website forms.

Parts and device condition

Repair suitability depends on the exact device, condition and fault. A laptop’s panel or other part may need physical identification before a compatible replacement is ordered.

We discuss the proposed part, including whether it is new, second-hand or refurbished, and the relevant price and approval. The repair notice includes the prescribed refurbished-goods wording; it is not permission to substitute any part without discussion.

Timing and updates

Work follows the workshop queue and availability unless another arrangement is agreed. Fault reproduction, testing and supplier availability may affect an estimate. We discuss material changes rather than guaranteeing a result or date we cannot verify.

Wait for confirmation that a device is ready before arranging collection. Contact us if a deadline changes or you decide not to proceed.

Payment, collection and uncollected goods

We confirm the agreed amount due and available payment arrangements for your job. Arrange collection when advised that the device is ready, or discuss a different arrangement promptly.

Uncollected devices are handled under applicable Victorian law, including required notice and disposal procedures. This website does not impose automatic abandonment, a blanket disposal deadline or an undisclosed storage charge.

Consumer rights and concerns

Services must be provided consistently with applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees. Nothing here excludes, restricts or modifies a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If something is not right, contact us with the job reference, the problem and the outcome sought. We will discuss an appropriate next step. Our refunds policy distinguishes consumer remedies from a change of mind.
